RUN FOR LOCAL OFFICE
Want to make a difference in your community? Run Local!
When you’re considering a run for local office, it can be hard to know how to get started — especially if it’s your first time! With that in mind, we’ve put together some information to get you started.
Step 1: Get in Touch
Whether you want to run a municipal campaign or a state one, we would love to have a conversation with you. We can discuss steps, training opportunities, and local resources available to you. Reach out to us individually or email info@capeelizabethdemocrats.org.
Step 2: Take Out Papers
If you are running for town council or school board, you will take out papers from the town clerk in August. From there, you will collect signatures and turn the papers back in to have those signatures certified.
Information on beginning county and state campaigns can be found here.
Step 3: Begin Your Campaign
We look forward to working with you!
